Best Cuban bread in the Keys !!! Been coming here for years.

We stop here every year going to Marathon or leaving the Keys. Great cooked Cuban food. Flan was great. Pulled pork is delicious. Area at back of store cooks and takes orders. May eat in or take out. Cuban coffee at counter is great.

Awesome place for a quick cuban culture moment. Have a cafecito and a cuban toast! Delicious and cheap!

Stopped in last minute for a Cuban coffee and sandwich. The inside of the sandwich was cold, the cheese had barely melted. I think this was part of the reason that the sandwich lacked the traditional flavor: not enough time or heat to have it all meld together. Cuban coffee, however, was delightful.If we get back here, if like to try a meal instead of the sandwich. That seemed to be what the locals were ordering!

Absolutely love this place! They have a little slice of heaven and the best cuban food in the upper keys. You must go here and try it. I promise you have never had such great food!!

Poor attention of the kitchen staff. Main mind of the dependents. and they charge as if it were a five star restaurant when it is a workers' dining room. The last time I went to that place I was without desire to return. For two poor meals served, I was charged an approximate $ 30. when you used to go to that place and it was for less money since it is a canteen place. Because of its poor service and attention of the staff due to the lack of education to attend to the client, it does not deserve the star that I give it.

Went for breakfast and it was fantastic. My 6 year old ended up ordering a Cuban for breakfast and it was the best we’ve ever had.

The Cuban sandwich was large and substantial. The ham was very good. The pork, however, was dry as a bone. The place has no ambiance at all, very stark. Service was fast and efficient.

Best Cuban market and restaurant South of Miami you must stop and enjoy the smells and flavors. The staff or super helpful and friendly.

Okay for a quick bite. Had the Cuban toasted sandwich with cheese, ham and pork to go - surprising good.

This review is long over due. Several years ago, we stopped here on our way back to our hotel in South Beach and we sure were glad we did! As some other reviewers have said, don’t let the outside stop you from going in. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had (we live in DC where we’re spoiled rotten by good ethnic food) and the prices were cheap! Sure there’s no ambience but who cares when the food is this good. We didn’t have Cuban anywhere close to this good or authentic in South Beach. I’m an adventurous eater so I got the fall-apart-tender-as-butter roasted pig’s feet and a side of rice and beans. WOW! Even my boyfriend, who would never eat pig’s feet, said it was delicious. To this day, I still salivate when I think of the rice and beans. It was so good that we went back and ordered a huge portion to take back to the hotel. They surely must put magic flavor juice in this dish. Someday we shall return just for the privilege of eating here again!

To look at this place you would think it’s a hole in the wall, but let me tell you about the food.....everything we ate was spot on and delicious. Best coffee I’ve had in a long time and I love coffee. I will definitely return before I leave here. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, they give you a lot of food for your money. (Don’t know how lunch or diner is or I would comment on that) but definitely give it a try. As you can see in the picture, my western omelet was huge.

Ox tail, yellow rice, plantains and fish were excellent. Service was good after we figured out that the front counter really just takes walk up orders and if you're dining in you should take a seat. Did bring chicken instead of ox tail for one order but they brought the ox tail out as well. White rice was a little dry but everything else was good.

We were surprised for the tasty and great service at this place. From the outside you don't feel convinced to go in, when you go in, same impression but we still ordered food. It was great, loved it, inexpensive and great server. Thank you, I reccomend

Authentic tasty Cuban food and coffee, food to go or dine in. 4 adults and 2 kids ate their fill for $60. I would eat her again. I recommend the fried pork with moro and yuca

You're looking for that authentic hole-in-the-wall experience, and Sunrise Cuban Market and Cafe is the place you'll find it. They are so authentic, in fact, that you might need a translator if you're Spanish skills aren't up to par. But never mind that, it's easy to order and get just what you want at Sunrise. And once you have the Cuban sandwich you've been craving, you'll know you found the right place.

Decided to come here because of the reviews and am so glad we did! The owner was so kind and explained what all the different types of food are (it's our first time trying Cuban). We ended up getting the ox tail, yellow rice, yuca, and plantains....best food ever! Im not a big lover of meat but I was surprised by how good the ox tail was (and also surprised I even tried it). The portions are huge so my husband and I shared and it was more than enough.

So, so good. I don't understand why I couldn't park this morning at a breakfast place and no-one is here tonight.

Absolutely delicious and quite inexpensive. I suggest ordering your food and while it cooks, walk to the back and pick up a loaf of the fresh Cuban bread to enjoy with your meal. For $2 it can't be beat and is an awesome addition.

Delicious Cuban food at a fair price. Definitely worth a stop for some Cuban bread at the very least! The tamales were succulent and the Cuban sandwich was the best I've had outside of the Tampa area!

The food is overpriced and looks old on top of that one of the servers has a very bad attitude. We were a group of 8 people, visiting the keys and decided to stop and eat in a Latin rest and wanted to give it a try to this place but got out immediately after seeing the food and the ugly attitude of the server. Don’t waste your time, money and peace at this place there are other Latin restaurants in the area.

The food was great. I got the chicken stir fry, fried banana, rice and black beans _ deliciuos. The girls that searved us were very humble.

Sat at a table for 30 minutes and no one even took our drink order. Seemed there was one waitress for the entire restaurant. We ended up leaving.
